The men of Ruckersville Baptist Church invite you to join them in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains for a weekend of Bible study, fellowship, and outdoor activities.

Here's the Idea:

We are gathering to engage in a series of Bible studies about discipling men. Our goal is to walk away better equipped to encourage those around us to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The study will be complimented by ample time for fellowship and outdoor activities.

With Special Guest, Dr. Bill Brown.

Bill has an amazing testimony as a Vietnam veteran, where he was called to the ministry. His twenty year career in ministry and outdoor recreation in Alaska was a natural fit for his outdoor skills. Bill is a former professor of evangelism and church planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and presently teaches church administration and discipleship courses through Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary's online program. Bill serves as the senior pastor at North Star Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC and serves on the Board of Directors of God’s Great Outdoors, a ministry dedicated to reaching the millions of North Americans who are more passionate about the outdoors than Christ.

Here's the Plan:

 We will meet Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Ruckersville Baptist Church parking lot. From there we will consolidate vehicles and travel approximately twenty minutes to a serene cabin located on 90 acres adjoining the Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is equipped with electricity, running water, and sleeping spaces. Below is a suggested list of supplies to include on your packing list:

• Sleeping Bag
• Tent
• Personal Toiletries
• Bible
• Notebook & Pen
• Bow (compound, longbow, or crossbow)
• 3-D Archery Targets

Here's some good news, We'll provide all the meals. Of course, you might have to help out in the kitchen!

Friday:

3:00 PM - Meet at RBC and travel to retreat site

4:00 PM - Unload, claim a bed, or spot to camp

5:30 PM - Dinner

7:00 PM - Evening Study

Saturday:

8:00 AM - Breakfast

9:00AM - Morning Study

10:00 AM - Archery Shoot

12:30 PM - Lunch

1:30 PM - Afternoon Study

2:30 PM - Hike

4:30 PM - Closing, Pack-Up, Clean-Up
